I am not an Instagram Influencer. On my personal account the most likes I think I’ve ever gotten is somewhere around 300 and that was rare. But I do travel and plan adventures with Instagram in mind as if I were an influencer.

My friends and I have done more “photoshoots” than I am proud to admit. Holiday market photoshoots, the first snowfall of winter photoshoots, beach photoshoots, graduation photoshoots, rooftop photoshoots, just for shits and giggles photoshoots- you name it!

If you can imagine it, we’ve probably done it or at least thought about it.

And I’m defining photoshoot in the most basic sense of the word. An iPhone and cool background, usually we’ve dressed the part and have our hair/makeup done. No fancy cameras or set up that would actually be deemed a real “photoshoot”, just 20-something-year-olds embracing their vanity.

I won’t lie, these are fun moments. It’s an excuse to check out a new pop-up bar or part of the city. We all get ready together and look cute, finally a reason to wear that skirt with the tags still on it. We hype each other up, take photos and then later edit (Sky is our designated editor, she’s amazing). There’s always a group chat to send our top picks and ask each…
